Founded on October 15, 1885 at DePauw University, Alpha Chi Omega offers a rich history founded in service and achievement. This women’s fraternity is committed to cultivating an environment of growth and strength in which its members can flourish while doing good for others.

Today, there are more than 135 chapters of Alpha Chi Omega at colleges and universities across the United States and more than 200,000 lifetime members. In addition, Alpha Chi Omega’s commitment to service shines through with its involvement in the MacDowell Colony, Easter Seals, and the support of victims of domestic violence. Rape crisis centers, emergency shelters, safe houses, and long-term assistance centers have been touched by Alpha Chi Omega’s approach to educating, preventing, and treating the problem of domestic violence in the United States.
