About Kappa Alpha Psi
On January 5, 1911, a group of African-American men by the names of Watson Diggs, John Milton Lee, Byron K. Armstrong, Guy Levis Grant, Ezra D. Alexander, Henry T. Asher, Marcus P. Blakemore, Paul W. Caine, Edward G. Irvin, and George W. Edmonds came together to form Kappa Alpha Psi at Indiana University. Today, the fraternity welcomes over 150,000 members within 500 undergraduate and alumni chapters in every state of the US, as well as in the United Kingdom, Germany, Korea, Japan, the Caribbean, Saint Thomas, Saint Croix, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Nigeria, and South Africa.

Kappa Alpha Psi crosses the boundaries of color, creed, and national origin by welcoming all those who pledge to pursue the fraternity’s purpose of achievement.
